Hello all!

i need to know how to setup 2.1 hifi (bookshelfs) system on my desktop to my pc. (total budget 650 euros)
i've been spending some time on other forums and narrowed down my choices of speakers:

bookshelfs: Dali Zensor (149 euro) or Wharfedale Diamond 121 (129 euro)
Subwoofer: Yamaha YST-SW012 (79 euro) or Jamo SUB 210 (136,90 euros)

i have yet to decide witch amp i wanna use or receiver or maybe even DAC's or what about t-amps?
there is so much choice and i have no knowledge about these things and thats why i came here to the forums to ask for help and insight.
all i know is, my max budget for it is 200 euros and it can't be too big or else i won't have enough room for it on my desk!

Opinions and recommendations are very much appreciated!

things that might be usefull to know:
My room size= 13 x 6  measured in feet.
i listen to trance, electro house,EDM,vocal types of songs.
i watch movies and play videogames pretty often.

Why not invest in some active speaker instead? The all you need is a DAC, and maybe a volume control.

If you are listening near field, a sub shouldn't be necessary.

right now im using the krk rokits rp6 g3 with a DAC (focusrite 2i2) its sounds great but lacking warmth, i mean too flat (but thats bcuz its a studio monitor) and i don't have a sub with my krk and i find it lacking lows in games and in movies.

No question the best solution for $1200 is Paradigm MilleniaOne CT...

or if your budget is a little less opt for the Millenia CT 2 (without the One) lowers the price to $900 at the expense of the sats not being aluminum and having slightly lower power amplifier but still sounding incredible. Incidentally the CT 2 has a nicer remote then the original One.

You will 'love' this system, either one

The Wharfedale Diamond 10.1s are known for having a bit of a warm sound signature. Don't know about that newer model. Is the Diamond 10.1 still available?

I'm not familiar with that Jamo sub model, but have heard very good things about some of their higher models. Yamaha subs are all low budget consumer grade. I'd definitely bet on the Jamo before the Yamaha.

The Yamaha sub has speaker level inputs and outputs. So you can integrate a sub by running speaker out from an amp to the sub, then hook the speakers up to the speaker outs on the Yamaha. The Jamo has no speaker outs, so you would have to either (a) split the audio signal coming from your computer and run it to both your speaker amp and sub, or (b) get a home theater receiver (or other receiver) that has a subwoofer out. A home theater receiver is actually a great idea as they tend to be the best budget option for a full-sized receiver.

That's a good amp.

How about a digital amp that is even smaller?

Your budget of 650 euro is $815 - The Millenia CT 2 is $900 with free shipping, not that far off but well worth it. DAC and Amp are built in so it is all you would need.

Free shipping to the EU? I doubt B&H covers that. And he'll have to pay some kind of customs tax.
