Hello everyone - 
 
I need help selecting a volume control device for my setup. I am planning on getting a new DAC that does not have a volume control attached - this is a problem for me because the speakers I use are powered monitors and so a separate volume knob is essential. I only need RCA in/out - are there any cheap ones out there that don't ruin the sound quality?

I don't know of any that are cheap. While not passive, you might want to consider a Bottlehead Quickie...
