I have been reading that it works with the V@ Fuze, but it's just not stable. I decided to try it anyway and I can't get it to install. I downloaded my original V2 firmware from Sansa, however when I try to run the bootloader in command prompt I get this:

Any ideas what's wrong?

Rockbox's site uses a threefold division for compatibility with their firmware:

Rockbox - Open Source Jukebox Firmware
Stable - runs well, has a manual, supported by installer
Unstable - runs, but is incomplete or less usable
Unusable - doesn't run at all because much more work needs to be done

Fuze v2 is listed as unusable.

Rockbox is actually unstable atm on the v2.
You just need a special boot loade.

Trapper how is rockbox working on your v2 fuse? Is it crashing? I'm guessing you can't save changes to your config file from the player?

Its certainly not stable, and it has crashed a few times. You're correct in that it can only read and not write so you can't save anything from the player. BUT I still enjoy listening to it and if I ever get annoyed I can always dual boot to the OF. Its the same way with my Clip+ . Great big thank you to all the ppl working on the Rockbox. I very much appreciate it.

Can you just update back to the unpatched firmware if you don't like it?

I haven't done it and I'm no expert on rockbox but If I recall you simply delete the rockbox folder off your player.

Yeah you just have to delete the rockbox firmware.
This is definitely not a stable version, but for simple playback it works fine, and being able to see the full titles of songs is definitely a huge plus.
