I have attempted to rip many cd's into Itunes on my windows computer and ultimatley on to my ipod, but all that is "imported" to Itunes are track names. The underlying song is not "imported." I contacted Apple about this, but I found the help desk less than helpful on this issue. The help desk's conclusion was that my Itunes was not allowing the import because of copyright restrictions embedded in the cd. Has anyone had this problem? I have a 4th Gen Imod with a 20gb hard drive.

Make sure that you're actually ripping the CDs in iTunes, and not just dragging and dropping the songs (last time I checked, it didn't work).

Also, try ripping the CDs with something like MediaMonkey and importing the files into iTunes.
