Basically I uploaded a video of my runs in DiRT 2
 
However, upon upload, I got this message

So I want to ask... if those soundtracks in game are filled with engine sounds due to the car running in the game, is it considered a violation of copyright?

Thanks to the DMCA, they will always err on the side of complying with takedown requests.  Then the poster has the burden to show why the content should be allowed.

A bit of a separate point but the EULA in most games (like World of Warcraft) also makes it clear that the publisher owns the rights to any video made from the game.  So you're in the wrong on both ends!
