My all time favorite headphones for movies is the Fidelio X2. The combination of a wide soundstage and deep bass creates a sound that is more 'cinematic' than other headphones. The mids are present but not too forward and the treble is detailed enough ...it just makes movies sound right.
Unfortunately I can't lay on my side and watch a movie in them because of their monstrous size.
It might be a big ask, but is there an IEM out there that approximates the sound of the X2 for under $100?
