Hey everyone I really need help
I'm currently using a dual pc setup for live streaming, although I want to integrate a DAC & Amp to replace the sound card (as I've heard going with this can give you much better quality, just like using proper headphones does instead of "gaming headsets", this will allow me to get the full potential out of my headphones, only I currently have a mixer (to connect sound from both pc's, also provides pass through for mic on my gaming pc) and an audio interface (which gives my mic the best quality on my streaming pc), this was already a complex setup to figure out and for my limited knowledge in DAC's (wouldn't even know if I should get a USB version or not), I'm going to need help as I am unsure about how they are even connected, I don't know if I want to get the DAC & amp as 1 part or if its better to get them as separate parts, I just want a way to have my headphones amplified but still have it connected to the mixer in order for me to hear both PC's, with my current sound card (Asus Xonar D1) I have a 3.5mm jack connected to line 5 on my mixer (so I can hear the audio) I also have my mic coming from the mixer's mic line and going into my sound cards 3.5mm mic slot. Can anyone please suggest a DAC/AMP combo which will give me good sound and be able to connect with my current setup for under £150.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
I haven't done a detailed rundown or diagram as to how I have my setup connected yet as I haven't had time to do so yet, but if anyone requires it, I will try and get it done asap.
Many Thanks!
Mixer: Behringer Xenyx 1204 USB
Audio Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB
Headphones: Sennheiser HD598
Sound Card: Asus Xonar D1
