The one partsexpress is selling is now flimsy, small, and doesn't hold earphones well.

I tried buying one on eBay that looked exactly like the old partsexpress one, but when I received it it was just like the cheapo crap one I'd despaired over from partsexpress.

I guess some China factory has stopped making the old ones for everybody and now here we are.

I'm now worried about trusting any pictures for potential candidates because sellers don't think the kind of people buying crappy headphones would be the kind of people to look closely at product images. I don't really blame them.

Maybe you should just buy a new KSC75 (???).

KSC75 doesn't have a headband. It's a simple mod to mount the phones on a headband. I ended up ordering from a seller who told me he had one left of the old partsexpress version.
