I was wondering if you guys could help me.

I want to get some music from my minidiscs, onto PC

Id assume the easiest way would be using the optical out on the back of the minidisc player, but i would need some sort of adapter so it would fit into my laptop

Is there such a thing, to allow a digital out cable , to transform so as to fit it into a USB port, like a 2 head cable?

Or, for that matter, is there another way?

thanks

Are you sure your minidisc player has an optical-out, as opposed to optical-in? Manufacturers have taken particular pains to make it difficult to transfer ATRAC from minidisc in digital form to .wav or other computer ready format.

It isnt a portable player, but a standing player, with optical in and optical out.

To put music onto it, i connect it up to my CD player, via optical cable, and record music onto a blank minidisc.

I am looking for a way to get the music from the minidisc in the player, via the optical out, onto a PC, using maybe a PCI card or USB connection, or, therefore, any other method

thanks
