Hi everyone,

I just joined Head-Fi after being recommended here for advice.

I am after gaming headphones for my playstation 3 and 4.

I have narrowed it down to the Superlux 668B or the Audio Technica ATH-AD700 or AD700X

I play mostly FPS games like Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 2 and also Battlefield 3 and 4.

What would be a better buy? I would most likely just use it for gaming. I just use some cheap Philips SHS4700 earphones for listening to music and they work fine for my needs.

I have also seen the Samson SR850 headphones which are the replica for the Superlux 668B. However i do not like the headband it has. The Superlux and audio technica look very similar in terms of their build with no headband to interfere.

Also i have the turtle beach DSS so i can just plug any of these headphones into the DSS.

So please help me choose the best headphone for my needs.

Thanks.

I have heard the AD700 (the previous model) but not the X, and I have not heard the Superlux. Just based on reputation from gamers here on head-fi, I think I would go with the AD700X - they seem to be quite popular with the gamer crowd.

Thanks for the reply. Yes i have read numerous places the AD700 is very popular with the AD700x having minor improvements .. mainly with design.

However the problem is locating the AD700 since it has been replaced the AD700x. But i don't mind buying the newer one either.
