I want to use the GSX 1000 as a DAC and Q4 as an amplifier.

GSX 1000 has 3.5 mm outs.

Fosi Q4 has a coaxial in.

I would like to have headphones and speakers connected and be able to switch between them with the GSX 1000.

Is it possible?

If so, what am I missing?

I am hoping that something like this will do the trick. (analogue RCA - digital coaxial convertor)

1. Convert the analogue signal from GSX 1000's headphone out back to digital with a 3.5mm - RCA cable connected to this device.

2. Send the new digital signal to Fosi Q4 with a coaxial cable connected from this device.

Did you get any result's? My conclusion to the fosi Q4 was in general that the dac was hot garbage but the amp could have been ok. I never considered coaxial because it's something I haven't used once, my pi2aes has coaxial but never needed it. I was under the vague and uneducated impression that coaxial was still digital. I'm going to have to research that because I only know about what I've used and never paid attention to anyone talking about coaxial.
