Hello all.

I hope you will getoften me right to the point, as I do have already a lot of doubts.

I commute to work by train, then enjoy colleagues chatting.
Want to isolated myself from it at least partially, to not to damage hearing,
by making the sound louder.

I often listen to speech podcasts, and sometimes to jazz, instrumental music.
I had before good enough headphones, and I like when they are closer to be monitors rather bassy and disturbing QC15, sound of which I find really average at most.
I like moderate bass, punchy, but no rap clear mids and very clear highs, bright highs are more important for me, to listen to real music Next comes the noise. So I have doubts if I should get active nc , or closed cups and amp.

Headphones to travel wear off. I do not want to spend more than 250$, to better but new in a year or two. Durability is my third criterion.

Please, advise a set up! Either good close to monitors active NCs, or, if it makes sense closed cups and amp.
