Hey Guys and Gals!
 
So I've had this set of HD555's for about 5 years now and they have given me all they could and have led me here entering into the wonderful world of Hi-Fi. 

Now I'm looking to upgrade to either :
 
AKG Q701

Philips Fidelio X1 

 
I'm open for any other suggestions around the same price range.
 
As for running these, from what I've read X1 seems fine on it's own while the Q701 might need a Amp. Since I'm gaming (CS:GO/Dota2 Directional sounds) a fair amount I was wondering if anyone would chime in on some good amp/dac or soundcard setups. I've seen a lot of suggestions for the FiiO e10 or the O2+ODAC combo for the Q701.

Those two cans you chose have vastly different sound signatures. The x1 is considered bassy while the other is bass light.

That's the thread I'm coming from. I just managed to come across this http://www.head-fi.org/t/623013/new-philips-fidelio-x1/300 so it looks like I may end up going for the AKGs. Just need help on deciding the right DAC/Amp combo for a solid price in Canada the O2+ODAC is a bit pricey up here where the e10 looks fine a few people are telling me i might as well go all in or nothing.
