i have seen the portable rig setup photos thread.
some of them uses more then one amp to power the headphone or IEM
is there any need to use more then one amp?
if so can u explain it.

Are those rigs ipods by any chance?  If so the second "amp" is actually a USB dac like the CLAS.  Same with some smartphones and maybe there are still some old irivers in use too.
 
There shouldn't be need for more than one amp!

The double AMPing provide better sounquality than single AMPs because one act as Preamps and increase the soundquality but it need to be connect through true line out not HP jack.

The iPods HP jack where headphones/earphones plug in to lizten music and line out signal pass through dock connector where charging cable plug in. Line out signal are more cleaner and improve the soundquality with external Amplifiers help, both sony walkmen with WM_Port and iPods offers line out signal tonconnect with external AMPs.

one more clarification. in the portable rig setup photos i have seen a photo with ibasso dx1000 combined with the amp. is there any need for amp with dx100 as dx100 itself has enough DAC and amp setup
