I dont think that for that price the C700s are a good choice for you - they are a bit overpriced in the US compared to rivals.
I own the C700s, and (especially) listening to your kind of music, I found them to be extremely fatiguing on the ears. The bass was nice, but sometimes felt a tad bloated, and the sound quality deteriorated at louder volumes. They sounded very bright and unnatural.
Coming from something like the D2000s you will most likely be unsatisfied with them - the SE530 will be a safer bet, despite being more expensive.
If you want to spend less money and really like your bass, try some Monster Turbines, or perhaps Klipsch Image X10s. If you want more clarity, look into Phonak Audeo PFEs, and get a small cheap bass boosting amp like a Fiio.
