Looking for a media and signal convertor, ideally with level adjustment.
Needs to do DAC duties, plus output signals should have the correct impedance and level.
I'd prefer XLR out, but TRS could work.
I'm looking for something older, which can (ideally) be found for cheap on the used market.
So far, I'm leaning towards the Lexicon Omega which is a mini (high quality) USB-oriented mixer.
Circuit diagram on page 27 of the user manual does seem to show that the USB input is directly
bridged to DACs and hence the line output. A review mentions being able to use it without USB:

I can find a used one in good working condition for $50, so that's my benchmark.
Does anyone have experience of the Lexicon Omega?
or
Does anyone have recommendations for other products which would fit the bill?
Thanks in advance
