I really think you guys should save up for a decent amplifier to really bring out your DT770.

An E5 is probably alright if you're after something very portable, but in the long run you're probably going to want something like a Corda Headsix or anything above to really drive the DT770.

In Your original price range the Boosteroo is the only one that will amp that kind of Ohms but the loss in sound quality will negate having good cans.

Save up your money a get Corda headsix or Headroom Total Airhead, Or total BitHead if you want a DAC

I'm working on a way to get the Amazon deal on DT770 somehow (Canadian here) and I'll get 3 CMoy Boards eventualy. Once I built those I'll start working on Mini³. The CMoy should be ok for the DT770 but I think I'll get more from them with the Mini³.

The penguin Ultra is a great little Cmoy that will power those 'phones and there is a seriously long thread hereabouts that covers just about every possible angle
