Hi I've recently purchased a turntable (pro-ject debut carbon) and bought a pre-amp (project phono box MM). Already have Schiit Magni headphone amp, and the Modi DAC.

Now I've just received my speakers, Q Acoustics 3020, but still need to buy some cables as I didn't realise they weren't included. So will probably but the Van Damme blue cables after brief research.

To connect those speakers, I wanted to buy one of the other Schiit products (Asgard2) as I'm happy with their products so far, but wonder if they are designed for headphones and won't work as well on those speakers I have? (Wouldn't mind moving away from the schiit as delivery for asgard2 seems to take longer than I would prefer).

I also don't have too much space for the amp so would like it if it's compact enough and I kinda like the look of some tube amps to go with the turntable but they are more expensive usually?

Hello Mejis, looks like we're on the same boat. I'm also in the process of putting together my hi-fi setup. I've bought Pro-ject Debut Carbon and Q Acoustics 3020. I also plan to buy project phono box, but I first need an amp so I've been digging and researching the internet up and down. I'm very curios to hear what amp did you end up buying?

Hey I ended up spending quite a bit and bought this one http://www.whathifi.com/nad/d-3020/review
Although expensive, I am very happy with the overall setup so would recommend highly, once I started reading up on the d320 I found it just too difficult to settle for a cheaper one :)
Did just buy whatever cheap cable they had at the local shop.

That NAD sure seems like a sexy little beast. I was also reading about it but it exceeds my budget. At the moment I'm thinking that I will go for Marantz pm6005. It has flashy reviews.. I will go to the local shop the next week and give a listen. If it meets my expectations then I'll probably go for it. It also has a phono input so it will save me some money for now..

Enjoy your setup and music. Cheers!
