I have been thinking about what to do a lot in the past few days and reading all over these forums to get ideas. I have a set of SE310's that i use mainly with my ipod, but occasionally with my MacBookPro. I also have a set of Beyer 770 - 80ohm that are ran off my MBP.
For an amp I am looking for something that will mainly go between my MBP and 770's. Because of the Optical out on the MBP I wonder if it is worthwhile taking a step down on the amp scale and adding a DAC. I would like to keep this in the sub-$500 range. The new RSA portable amp looks very nice, but will this prove to power the 770's and be enough power to, if I upgrade, a nice set of Grado/Alessandro's or HD600/650's?
I would prefer to keep the amp US/EU made rather than the Tube Amps from China, just a personal preference. So for main stream this limits me to Headroom, RSA, and Corda?
