hi, im contemplating diy'ing a cable for this- problem is i dont quite know what cable to use - any suggestions would be appreciated. i would have done a search just that it doesnt work at this time.

A couple of folks have done it using Canare Star Quad cable, which you can get for very cheap at www.marketech.com

the zu cable is out... just not on the site yet... the beta testing is over [and I think you will find that most of the beta testers, myself included, were very happy with them] and they are officially selling them... from what my contact a zu tells me, it takes them quite a while to get the web-guys to post anything

The ZU Mobius and Stefan Art Equinox are both very good. It really comes down to the quality of your source. If you have a bright source, the Equinox will help out. It also has a great midrange and nice wide soundstage. If your source is on the neutral to warm end of the spectrum, the ZU is the way to go.
