Hello head-fiers
I'm pretty much settled on headphone setup with my Magnum V4 and Centrance Dacport; now would like to venture on to the speaker side for home use. The speaker system will be used 60% music, 30% gaming, 10% movie.
The one I'm aiming for is 2.1 system and the new Mini maggie system has caught my eye. Since the maggie system already comes with 2 speakers and a woofer, all I need to buy are dac, pre amp, and amp right?
I'm currently looking at the emotiva XDA-1 http://emotiva.com/xda1.shtm for preamp/dac solution and the discontinued emotiva UPA-2 http://emotiva.com/upa2.shtm for amp solution.
My question is that "how much channel amp do I really need for 2.1 system? is 2 channel all I need? is the emotiva UPA-2 doable for mini maggie setup?"
Any help will be very appreciated... It will also be great if you can recommend me other dac/amps if there is one that you fully recommend. Though it would be great if the dac and amp is same company built.
Thanks
