I am new to all of this and I have been doing research for the past 2 weeks on headphones to buy for my travels. At first I was looking to get the beats by dre, but by reading comments and watching videos on youtube I see that beats aren't the way to go. I have my mind fixed on getting Sol Republic Tracks HD, I also would like to get an amp to get a much better quality. I have been looking at the fiio e6, e7 or e11. Do anyone have any recommendations of a good setup, I welcome all advice. I don't want to spend more than $100 dollars for the DAC/AMP......

Well imo you can get a much better pair of IEM's for what you paid for on the Sol Republic's, I'd checkout joker's IEM reviews before you get the Sol's. .  As for DAC/Amp I use the E6 and even though its not a DAC I love it.  They make most of my IEM's sound better, it tends to open up the soundstage more and give them a fuller sound.  For under $30 its a very good portable amp and its size makes it very easy to pair with and pmp.

Now for a good Amp/DAC combo the the E7 is the only FiiO under $100 but the E6 amp sounds better than the E7 imo, its has new internals that makes them sound quite a bit better.  Theres other Amp/DAC combos but not many at or under $100 though.

This. But I would recommend the e11 over the e6, the amp is just that much better.

I purchased the SOL Republic Tracks HD, it's a great sounding headphone, I heard some songs on this headphone and I never heard the particular instruments before. On top of getting the headphones, I also purchased an Electric Avenue PA2V2 amp. I mean It sounds like I am in a studio now. Gary is great, I was excited to receive my hand made amp. For my first set up I think I did a decent job. It only gets better from here.
