Hello all,
 
I'm in the following situation: my setup was Imod 80go + iqube + Hd25
 
My Imod is dead and i'm looking for something as good sounding (or almost) to replace it, with at least 20Go of capacity and i was wondering what rivals the Ipod?
 
Thank you very much by advance, i haven't followed the market for a while so your advices are welcome
 
Unless i sell back the Iqube and go for a one-box-solution that really works (if it exists??)

Simple and easy:
Clip+8 GB Rockboxed+micro sd card 64 gb and wait another 6 months for Fiio X3, a d cheep and great sounding 192/24 DAP.

Sandisk Sansa Clip Zip with 16GB micro SD card, total should be under $60.

The HiFiman HM601, HM602 has SD cards expension and it can go up 40GB (8Gb internal+32Gb SD card), BTW HM602 canbe use as external DAC/AMPs with PC or laptop.

There has been talk about the Fiio X3 since  2010. Do you really think it will be released? Since so much time has gone by, if Fiio is planning an MP3 player, it might be very different than the proposed X3.

Yes X3 is coming at this point, I think ETA is April 2013. ( I could be wrong on the date) but it's still coming.
