Hi,
This year I don't know what present to buy myself for Christmas, so I'm thinking to get an amp.
The headphones I use are Sennheiser HD555 on the PC and AKG K81 with my iRiver as portable player.
First of all, is an amplifier worth for these headphones? I'm a newbie as I never had one, but I heard an amp will always improve the sound of decent/good headphones. I'm not looking for something expensive (<100$), but if it's worth I would go up to an iBasso T5 as I might also buy some new headphones in the future too, so it could be a long term investment and used also with other equipment.
I'm listening mostly to hip hop music and some improved bass would be nice.
Any suggestion is welcome and if you need any other details I'll answer.
