Hi, all.
As the title states, I am looking for over-ears around $300 dollars. I listen mostly to EDM and rock. However, I do dable with classical, pop, and jazz. Mostly, though, I listen to electronic and rock. I have a few options I am thinking about that I will list below. But, I am extremely open to suggestion, even if it is outside my given parameters of price and closed-backed..ness....

        ATH-a900x
Beyer Dynamic dt-990 pro 32 ohm
        V-Moda m100

This will be a starting out pair, for me. I currently am listening with etymotic HF5s (which I really enjoy), but I have listened to ath-m50s before. Obviously, the soundstage in the m50s was better, but I like how the hf5s sound better than the m50s. Not sure if that helps. Also, I live in the US if that makes a difference.

My best wishes to all, thanks in advance.

I think you should add Mad Dogs by Mr. Speakers to the list.

I'll check out the MDR. I've looked at the Mad Dogs and decided that I'd rather do something that is more easily accessible. I've ruled out the K550's based on reports of a messed-up high-mid/treble.
