hey my friend asked me to help him find a sub for his computer, so i thought here might be a good place to ask, im sure alot of you have a nice audio system for your computer

his interest:
likes to play alot of Counter Strike,
and the music he listens to is alot of techno with nice base lines, and a bit of rap.

he would like something to let the bass boom, a powered subwoofer that you can use out of the box, hes not much of a DIY guy...

any suggestions welcome

Check out Klipsch's Promedia SWS. I has a pass thru so he can just plug it in between his soundcard and his current speaker setup.

The Logitech Z-560 (4.1) and Z-680 (5.1 or whatever) have a subwoofer that has a LOT of boom, I mean, it's meant for rap and pop...haha, anyway, it's good, I got my Z-560s for $160 bucks, it was a good deal, and I'm happy with the subwoofer (I use it with my Sharp NX10 stereo, I'm to cheap to get a real sub, so I just disconnected the speakers).
