So I think my 3's are finally on their last legs.

The cable has slowly been unwinding for a while now, and last night when I was using them, I noticed the sound cutting in and out. Not a good sign.

So, I'm looking for a replacement now.

I bought the 3's more than two years ago, so I don't think I could do anything with the warranty at this point.

I have my eye on the Logitech 6000 headphones for $114.49

or

the Westone W10 for $200.

Just can't justify paying full price for the W20 or W30 right now, let alone the W40.

How much of a difference is there between the 3's and the W10? Step up? Step down?

- I would be using with a OnePlus One (Android) and my laptop.
- Would prefer to stay around $200
- I listen to a wide variety of music, but an emphasis on Electronic Dance Music
- Open to either headphones or earbuds (I wear an 8 in hat size so that is a consideration).

Thanks!

Single BA driver designs tend to have a lot less bass frequency response. You might be better off with a dual dynamic driver, especially with some solid choices in the $100 or so range. If anything, the ergonomics will be a bit different since the shape of the shells are very different, and being dyanic drivers they have larger shells also.
