So I'm close to purchasing my DT770s but I need an amp to pair with it. I asked a very reputable member here and he said that the Mseed spirit (and the corda move) should synergize well with the DT770s.

Now, would this amp be good with other cans as well? I might look into the K701s in the future, so would it at least pair with it very well?

My budget would be $150 and under. I probably wouldn't mind upgrading in the future but I'll stand at the $150 and under price limit. Buying used wouldnt be an issue with me, so a suggestion for "this amp can be obtained for $150 and below used" is a good one as well.

The mSeed Labs Spirit is quite a little amp, with a fat analog sound that reminds me slightly of a well-built Pint, but with a little more oomph in the bottom register. I have mated it with the Sennheiser HD650, the Denon AH-C350, the Sennheiser CX300, the Sennheiser PX100, and the Ultrasone Proline 750. The 650s did it the most justice, and it handles them with no problem.

The Faith amp was a nice little amp, but the Spirit takes it to another level. I'm not sure there is another $150 amp that can touch it.

The Tomahawk adds more "action" to bouth the DT770 and K701.
In the bass area for K701 and mid and treble for the DT770.

For "portable" use, this amp is realy fine with K701.
(I`m not walking around the streets with K701....)
