In the last 2 months I have put my Sansa Clip+ and Fiio M3 in the washing machine and my 2nd Xduoo X2 went ahead and died on me so i need a new player.

I can try and find one of these again on ebay/amazon but i am wondering if there is anything new in the small dap market I should take a look at before i ahead and order older tech

You can check the HiBy R3 its a great small DAP

On the cheaper end would be the shanling m0. The hiby r3 would be a nice step up, just don't put it in the washing machine....

Haven't actually heard the r3, the big downfall is power so it probably depends greatly on what you're powering. The r6 will definitely have better Dynamics.

Shanling M0 is your best bet. It has all the bells and whistles for a $100 dap and no shortage of Power.
Since you're used to M3 and Clip+, the screen might not bother you much.
