I just picked up an ifi iDSD micro and need (want) some new closed phones. My wife thinks my K712s and X2s are too loud when I'm in bed next to her.
I've narrowed down to Nad Viso HP50s, Focal Spirit Classic (tell me if the Pros or premiums are better and why) and the Shure SRH 1540s.
Which would be better? I'm leaning towards the Shures as I have the SRH840s and love the midrange. I heard the 1540 are 840s with much better bass. I like clarity but with really good bass. I like a phone that has basshead potential but neutral miss and treble.
