Hey guys! First post here, and I'm a total audio newbie. I was just wondering what you guys have for suggestions on a good audio setup. I have roughly $1000 to spend, and I'm in Canada (Yes, I know that'll limit my selection). I was looking at the Z-5500s, but I read around here that it isn't as good as I think. I'll be using them for movies, games, and music. All that good stuff.
What I'm thinking (From reading around here) is to get a custom setup, getting the speakers, sub, and receiver, all separately Any suggestions on that? Or are there better alternatives for what I'm needing? I also read that the Klipsch (sp?) Promedia Ultra 5.1s are decent, but I can't seem to find it anywhere in Canada.
I appreciate any thoughts, opinions, and comments from the pros!
