Hi, I recently got into head fi after most my friends went through the beats craze, did my research and somehow wound up here.

I'm looking to upgrade my senn cx300. I commute to work every day and feel I would look silly with M50's. I mainly listen to classic rock/metal but have a variety of genres on my ipod. I'm looking at either the RE0's seeing as how they get great reviews everywhere and are know not to be base heavy (i like that), as well as the HD25-1 ii's. I have a friend working at Futureshop and can get the HD25's for employee discount (manufacture price + 5%).

I'm open to any suggestions (not looking to spend more than $150)

Shure SRH440, AKG K518 DJ, Koss DJ100 (amp needed apparently) SoundMAGIC PL50, MEElectronic A151 (looking at these for my next buy)

Meelectronics CC51P. They sound great out of any portable DAP and don't require an amp. Smooth mids, pretty crispy highs, and rumbly bass.

would any of those be considered an upgrade from my m50's?
