Do you mean something like this? Maybe without the TV stand portion.

Is there such a thing as shielded racks? i(.e built of certain metals) I hate the idea of having all my gear within inches of each other, for the RMI/EMI....

How about SOLID granite
wink.gif

Thats how most of my house back home is built...rough hand hewn granite...

It would be awesome for an audio rig and if this idea tickles you then I can get you what you need made right in my farm in India. We are constantly adding new statues, pillars and stuff and the artisans are constantly at work...

Three or 4 slabs of granite supported by granite cross blocks = one immovable object. You will need special apparatus to move it and assemble it

You will also need to rent an entire ship to get everything across

This makes me laugh.. just think of the next-generation audiophile cables:

--===NOW INTRODUCING===--

The Obsidian (c) interconnect!

By utilizing a 99.999999999999% Pure Granite Core dielectric, we have reached an entirely new level of audio enjoyment that can only be described as "heavy", "crystal-clear", and "textured". UberStereoReviews.com raves, "This cable can really ROCK!"

The process involves a highly complex dramatic milieu involving the sacrificing of a goat, and three ordained priests of an undisclosed shamanic order. The granite is painstakingly hewn over many decades by enslaved bushmen, and then the President of the United States himself inspects each stone for perfection.

The granite is ground into a fine powder and covered in a silk jacket. We use the iron from human blood as shielding, and it creates the beautiful red glow that these magnificent cables are known for. You won't believe your ears, or you wallet! Check out these fantastic cables today, because the Feds will be breathing down our necks tomorrow.

Try Finite Elements

or Particular

These two are my favorites. They are pricy, but very nice. Had a chance to get one of the particular racks but thought I better not go crazy as I don't have room right now.

I am currently using Solidsteel

and Lovan Sovereign

. They are solidly built, you can fill the tubes with sand to increase rigidity, and all the shelves sit on top of spikes for further isolation. Lovan are modules so you can stack them anyway you want.

I use Sistrum racks by Starsound Technologies. They don't have shelves; all your equipment perches on Audiopoints that are screwed into the frame. REally tightens up the sound. If you look on Audiogon they are sometimes for sale used. Starsound also has a website so you can see and read about the physics of their racks. The other cool rack I use is, as the poster above, Solidsteel. I think they come from Italy. They are really beautiful and isolate your components really well.

Oh wow, this first picture of the last post is quite nice, now I want it. xD
I probably wouldn't be able to afford those anyways with the projects I have
in mind right now, sure decent anyways.
