I will buy the Sony XBA-H3 and I also want to buy an portable amp. I want to choose between the Fiio E12 and the Fiio E17. I will use them with a MacBook Pro, a Samsung Galaxy S3 and an Ipod as sources. I am new in this field so please help me.

The E12 has more power than the E17; the E17 has a DAC. So sort of depends on whether or not you need/want a DAC.
