How do the Sony, the Shure's, and the Etymotic's compare in ear comfort, ease of insertion, noise blocking, sound quality, cable microphonic, and other aspects that I should care about?
Right now the small tips of EX70 fit my ears. EX70 blocks some noise, maybe not as much as ER4. NC11 has additional active noise cancelling, which might make it close to ER4 in noise blocking. The Sony's are more comfortable and less microphonic. And ER4 is much more expensive. At that price, I'd expect it to be better in every aspects than NC11.
ER6 is priced similar to NC11. If it is slightly less confortable, but blocks more noise, and sounds better, than NC11, then I would consider that, or maybe the new ER6i, since it has smaller tips.
Any other options besides these?
