I've been trying to find out the name of a song and the singer that sings the song..So far nobody i've asked knows the name of the song nor the singer though they remember hearing the song...
The song is sung by a female and dates back to the early to mid 70's, possibly earlier...

The main passage words are: "Thoughs were the days my friend, we'd thought they'd never end" other passges include"We'd fight and never lose" "Thoughs were the days, My Friend, Thoughs were the days...

Anyone know the name of the singer?...presumably the songs name would be something like the lyrics "thoughs were the days my friend"?
