Some of these songs are not even my favorite at first, but after listening to them on a good pair of headphones and heard details I was missing, I started listening to them a lot.

Europe has much better contemporary pop than the US imo...
 
Some that come to mind (not at definitely current per se, but pretty newish compared to my normal listening repertoire)
 
Mirami - (check out Sexualna and Miramimania particularly) from Ukraine and they have some great party music.
Helene Fischer - Atemlos durch die Nacht
Glasperlenspiel - Echt
 
I'm at a loss to think of more.  I live in Boston now, but I regularly listen to radio from Germany, Poland, Russia, etc.
 
Lots of great fun new music to find that is different than what we have here.  Just my two cents
 
I wish we had some more good music here... I mostly listen to classic rock otherwise, but I love all music as long as it's good!
