I've just get my Nakamichi CR7 out from the storage. I'm the analog lover so I want to record my vinyl and play in some busy time to look at the turntable. I just realise that it has the phone socket and volume control. So I give it a try. It sounds very impressive with wide sound stage, deep bass, nice mid just a little harsh in treble. My be it's need the burn in again (haven't play it for a loooooong time).
I recommend anyone who love analog sound and have the turntable to have a look of any CR series from Nak which has phone out with volume control a try. It can drive my HD650 very easily.

Just checked my Nakamichi Dragon's schematic diagram (I believe the CR7 is similar as far as the headphone jack is concerned). It's driven by a NJM4560 op amp and a NPN-PNP push-pull buffer operating in class B. Ouch, crossover distortion city. That's probably why the treble is harsh. Definitely leaves a lot of room for improvement...
