I have a rather complicated question to ask any Naim-heads out there. I am currently enjoying the headphone out of my Uniti 2, and also occasionally use the headphone out in a friend's Supernait 2. I am currently using the HD800 with the Cardas Clear cable out of the Uniti 2 and the sound is very precise, but a little contained. Through my Lehmann Linear SE the sound is warmer and a little less precise, but the left/right split in stereo sound is more resolved into a single soundstage.
What I need to know is whether or not the Headline 2 with power supply would be, or not, dramatically better? I love the Naim sound, but the Uniti 2 is already, most surprisingly, a big hitter for headphones. To Headline or not to Headline, that is the question.
Any advice gratefully received.
