Ok just installed the player.

Plug in AC power. Check

Install ICs. Check.

Switch player on. UH OH??!! Player doesn't come on!! No green light, nothing. Made sure that auto trigger on is switched off. Tried again. Nada.

Is my player dead? Can I find out for sure?

It's wired for Australia, so this shouldn't be an issue. Besides, there's no voltage selector at the back.

Sure did.

Anyway, I returned the unit back to the store today. Confirmed dead.

They on;y have the remaining unit on display, so I took that one coz it's still new (about 10 days or so on display). And that one is confirmed to work

Ahh bummer. Im thinking of getting a redgum dac and use my marantz as a transport. Guess you wouldnt have compared the redgum to the nad?
