For some reason, perhaps it is the fact I am a high-schooler with a limited budget, or because I have an iPod and no interest in an amp, or maybe it is just my character - I'm totally fine with my Shure E2c's. They will be my headphones until I graduate.

I have a Neuros II as well and I love the sound they pump through my e2cs (with ex71 tips

). I've heard from most reviews of the Neuros that they have the best sound for a portable in the industry, or nearly so. That's one of the big reasons why I bought it.

And yeah, I can tell a difference from an iPod. No comparison.
