mz-n910 Charging without a charging stand

Get a charger that charges Gumsticks?

i would guess your battery is maybe finished and charging doesn't do anything anymore.  I have a Sony MZ N10 (internal battery) and I charge it o the charging stand for 6 hours and in less than 20 minutes the battery loses juice on its own from playback.

screw, i use few years a 5v adapter, for external power, which i received with pleer. and i was need only 3v to charge? sth i was very inconsiderate, i will buy 3v adapter, and test it, thank you.

Try

I used to have a md recorder that did this too.  You have to press stop to charge the device.  And you cannot use the device while it charges.

Yep that should be it. If you still have the adapter you are good but, as mentioned, you need to press CHG to start the charging. The N910 is a very nice unit, btw. A charger like I mentioned before is also a good idea since it charges other types and you can charge a second gumstick outside the unit and just pop it in since you can't charge and play at the same time.

Just got this Minidisc in nearly new condition and if i try to charge without the stand it will "stop" charging earlier, because if then put it on the stand it continues to charge for some time, dont know why.
