MZ-N10 questions

Mar 6, 2003 at 8:37 AM Post #16 of 17
I had asked the question about the recording and the durability because I thought that this was what the MDs were known for. I've actually been considering getting the N10, so I suppose I was also imposing my own concerns.

If I were only going to play Mp3s, I think I would go with an Mp3 player or a cd/mp3 hybrid (which is what I did). It seems like its a little easier to get music from the computer to mp3 players than to the MDs.

Since I'm interested in recording stuff and knocking it around, I was thinking an MD recorder would be a nice addition. I don't yet know enough about MD (or have the money) to give in to my desires.

Please take into account that I do not own an iPod or an MD player/recorder, so my experience is only through what I've read. I encourage you to correct me so that I may learn the ways of the head-fi.

iPod advocates also forget that while they might be cheaper than MD in the US, other parts of the world, including down under, you'll be looking to pay more for the bottom-of-the-barrel iPod, than a top-tier portable recorder.

bangraman, ease of transfer aside, you know that the maximum quality NetMD can provide is LP2, even in "SP" mode?
