Denafrips, Cayin & Audio-GD are all reliable & trusted Chinese brands. Then again, they all have a active online presence & always communicate with anyone having any questions of concerns.

In continuation of the theme about the quality of Chinese amplifiers, Opera Consonance-received new output transformers ordered in Israel on cores made of m090-23 tape ,HiB (0.23 mm), produced By the Israeli plant Eilor. The cores of this plant (located in the area of the Israeli city of Eilat, on the red sea coast) are of high production quality, always undergo heat treatment and have excellent cutting quality. All this allows you to have a very small value of the magnetization current when working with transformers and, accordingly, a very small level of harmonics introduced by them .
The weight of the factory transformer was only 2.9 kg (6.39 pounds) on cheap iron, new output transformers from Israel on HI-B iron-weighing 3.9 kg (8.6 pounds) each, 12 K (8 ohms), with a band of 7.9 Hz-38.000 Hz . On the left in the photo , the transformer is Chinese, on the right - Israeli . You can see the difference .Video of measurements with new transformers here -

According to the upgrade of monoblocks, the following turned out: Rubicon capacitors are Parallel to the drosel 6 GN, and paper - oil capacitors are delivered to the Opera Cyber 845S-ITT 8 UF x1000 V .

The main group of resistors - non-magnetic 1Watt tantalum Audionote, black gates in the cathodes -1000 UF x16v st series, in the power supply of the driver and input stage: WKZ 47 UF + 47 UF /500V .

Bridging capacitors - copper Jupiter bypassed silver Duelund .

Wiring: change all the wiring and laziness, and expensive . But in important places put copper monofilters Telefunken 39 and Litz Kondo, silver-at the entrance of the 845 tube .

Output transformers from Israel on HI-B iron : high-tech transics weighing 3.9 kg each, 12 K (8 ohms), with a band of 7.9 Hz-38.000 Hz as part of a specific device. They quite effectively restored the power strip littered with previous Liu charges in the midbass , bass, and even the middle middle, which is understandable ; the weight of the output transformers supplied by Liu in their prestigious monoblocks (for 845) was 2.9 kg . For a charge under 845, this is nonsense, of course.
One gets the impression that Liu from the Opera tested a little on other transformers. It is possible that when the prototype of the amplifier was made ,the transformers were different and with different parameters ,and they were recorded in the list on the device and advertised to everyone.
Ah and in a series of matter already that cheaper managed order. They order it most likely at the usual winding plant. In such offices, it is usually that the transformer for street lighting, that the output transformer for the amplifier-what's the difference ... and so it goes ..
It's not just that QVORTRUP and Kondo make transformers themselves, without ordering from third-party companies.

Here is the Opera Linear 1 preamp, this is a separate detective. In his case, it was necessary not only to eliminate the obvious jambs of Liu, such as the anti-limit inclusion of Lundal transformers, but also the rejection of the criminal quality of The lundal input 1 :4 transformers. Instead, a full-fledged lamp stage was installed on the E88SS with tantalums in all the slots and transitional silver-vintage, rare 54 years of Western electric-for the US Navy and even in copper cases. It was a pity, but it's worth it.

In General, really, I think, with audio China, everything is worse than we thought or dreamed , the farther into the forest, the thicker the Asians

You seem to know a lot about building amplifiers. Any particular reason why you bought cheaper Chinese ones rather than building one yourself? You seem knowledgeable enough.
Fans of Chinese audio become due to a number of laws, where one of the many - the belief in a decent sound and the fact that the data of Chinese advertising brochures somehow corresponds to what is in reality , which is the basis of sound : power , bandwidth , distortion .

The merit of this topic is that on real practical examples, the ambiguity of the Chinese audio representation was clearly and convincingly shown-against the background of a tabooed criterion about the configuration, falseness (fortunately not all representatives) in the statement of the real parameters of their own products . All this indicates the obvious unavailability of egregorially (otherwise they will not be able ) Chinese audio to produce audio of a high level of quality comparable to that of at least the third level Audionote. Higher levels of audio, of course, just forget about Chinese audio ; oranges will not be born from aspen.

World audio is grown up in the paradigm of English and American traditions, where it is not accepted to openly lie and hang official disinformation in your own advertising brochures , believe me.

The Chinese were not allowed into the market to spread lies and deceit . Therefore, the sooner healthy traditions put these Chinese comrades in the right mode of honest representation, the healthier the rest of the world as a whole will be .

This is what Opera Audio amplifiers look like after a big upgrade.

1. Firstly, we're not talking about the audio world we're talking about the audiophile world. And secondly, "the paradigm of English and American traditions" in the audiophile world definitely IS to lie and present disinformation in their own advertising! Therefore:

2. Why should "these Chinese comrades" be put "in the right mode of honest representation" but no one else? All this Chinese company is doing is more or less copying what many/most other audiophile companies in the rest of the world are doing. I agree that the audiophile world as a whole would be healthier if "the right mode of honest representation" were enforced but if were, then a large part of the audiophile world would cease to exist!

Can someone provide a tl;dr? I have no idea what this thread is about and what's with all the Russian text? I thought it is about poor quality of a Chinese product?
