My Westone ES2 really a triple driver?

So I drop my 14-year-old Westone ES2 in the gym locker room today (yes, this makes a great gym IEM because it’s ancient, still decent SQ) and the left earpiece nearly fully cracks open, the innards pretty much holding it together. Nothing a little krazy glue won’t fix. But upon closer inspection it appears to be a dual balance armature + a single balanced armature instead of the dual driver the ES2 is supposed to be. This appears to be a 3-driver IEM. Someone correct me if I’m wrong here.

Makes sense. So what’s on the right, then? Awfully big to be a resistor.
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the inner workings of IEMs. You could probably ask on the DIY thread.

On a side note, Bondic UV works really well to repair IEM/CIEM shells. It goes on like a glue, but doesn't set until exposed to UV light. I assume other than the broken shell it still works?

No reason it shouldn’t. A careful application of krazy glue will accomplish the same thing. Used it on the broken shell of an Earsonics SM3 once.
Thanks.
