Wallet's that want apologies are no good. If your wallet starts moaning it's time to get rid of it and get a smaller one. One that won't think it's empty all the time.

or you can let your wallet fight it out with the new gear, though I don't know what chance it'll have since it's heavily outnumbered.

sorry about your wallet OP..
the main problem in this hobby (and many hobbies that demand spending a lot of money on) is that you don't want to go for the best (and most expensive) right at the beginning because you don't know exactly at what point you will feel satisfied with the sound. so you start at low-mid level equipment and go up from there...slowly but surely killing your wallet.
there are also a lot of temptations all around these forums.
the KNOWING that there IS better is what keeps us searching for it.

the smartest thing money wise is to get high-level equipment right from the start and by that saving a lot of money on the mid level "junk".
but you won't be able to appreciate you gear like you would when going slowly up the latter.
there is no way to escaping from this road,but who really wants to?
