As i said before i dint like them much. But I am working out/walking a lot and the creative earbuds are much worse than themand I've got to love them along with my Zn Vision M. This wasnt intentional, obviously. I was sitting in the computer with them hanging from my neck and they enter my glass of water for about 0.5seconds.

What should I do? Is there anything...? Uhm. If they are broken I will treat myself to a new pair of E4c but i really dont want to spend the 200 now. If De La hoya wins tonight I could invest a few $$$ but i am not into it

.

Anyways, should i expect the vibes to work properly after they dry or will hey suffer a lot from this accident?

Is there something I could do to avoid the damaage? This just happened (2minutes ago) and the drivers should be wet still.

Let me know fast!

maybe a can of compressed air lightly blown might help speed the process a little. DONT try to use them right now, if the drivers are wet and you try to make them work youre really up crap creek.

Well the first thing that comes to mind is that you could put them in the microwave for a couple of minutes at full power, but my name isn't Tim Henson and it isn't Distorted View and this definatly isn't Yahoo Answers... you know what, considering how they are constructed with the mesh over one end and just that tiny little port to the outside world at the back and assuming your right and they only spent 0.5 of a second under water, then there is a very good chance that water didn't get into the drive chamber because it would have to force the air out through the very small port or those fine holes in the mesh - so - dry them with a tissue and plug them in and if they work still count yourself lucky and if they don't then tough luck.

For the love of god, whatever you do, DON'T do this.

Leave for a day or two to dry out, and everything should be gravy.

If it helps any, I know people who have dropped cell phones into lakes or cups of water at least four times last summer.

Don't do anything fancy, don't blowdry it, just open it (if that's possible) and leave it out to dry on a paper towel for a few days. It may or may not still sound right.

2 out of the 4 cell phones worked right afterwards. 1 had a weird screen, and the other broke.

DON'T MICROWAVE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT!

Yeah definitely don't put it in a microwave. but anything else metal in one and youll see why (like a cd).

my friends have dropped cell phones in pools and then put them in an oven on very low heat for a while. it evaporates all the water and the phones still work. i dunno about 'phones. or you could just wait for it to evaporate over a couple of days

Bearing in mind that earphones are sort of backwards microphones, really, microphones are often cleaned by dunking them in distilled water, sloshing them around, and letting them dry. Strange but true. I would not, however, resort to any form of external heat, which may fry plastic parts. Shake them out, and wait.

I agree. People often panic and all you have to do is let the item dry out and most likely a quick dunk didn't get that much water in them unless you were actually trying to drown them.

I wouldn't even shake them out. I wouldn't even touch them. Put them on a paper towel if anything, and wait for a day or two. You'll know whether something is wrong or not fairly quickly.

And if you do decide to try it, make sure you videotape it and put it on YouTube for us.
