It's really frustrating when these things keep crapping out on me. Every one of the three pairs I've owned have given me the same problem.

I'm listening happily, when one of the channels goes out. I tweak it a bit, it comes back. This doesn't last long, and eventually I'm left with one channel. Twice I've returned these to the seller. I'm so done with these now. Plus, the last pair I ordered didn't seem to have the quality of the other two, it would distort at high volumes.

So my question is, what do I try next? I like the accurate treble, although the last pair I had had way less soundstage than I would like. I didn't really mind the lack of bass. I just want something that's durable, and has a very clear, precise sound.

It would be nice if it would last >1 year.

Man I am sure  cheap earphones are made to fail eventually so we keep on getting new ones...
just invest in more durable earphones like Ck10, ortofon e-Q5 or Earsonics SM2 or Shures 425
some are more durable then others.
Also use a reliable dealer in case service is needed.
