Wow! To think it only took 4 days to get here from Ray. I worked it up on Sizeasy, but I can't believe how small it is! It looks like a toy! But it is very solidly built. I haven't have the chance to listen to it yet, but I can't wait to get started. Here's the eye candy:

I think the Predator sounded good from the start but mine has matured into one of the better pieces of gear I have purchased while a member of Head-Fi.

HOLY crap! I just got my first taste. Usually, new gear sounds a bit cold out of the box, but this thing is already rockin'! It doesn't make any sense for the sound to be this big. And it's just as quiet with no signal as the website states. Incredible! Well, that's my weekend...

Wow, looking at all the equipment and realizing that this is probably the single best set of equipment on the budget I have ever seen... HD600, matched with Micro DAC and Slee Solo, and then Predator for on the go use...

And color matched =]

Thanks! However, the likelihood of me keeping all of this kit is very low. I would like to say something extremely blasphemous. Listening to the output of my DAC, the Predator is very close to the Slee Solo in terms of SQ. I really can't say for sure how these compare until the Predator is sufficiently burned-in.

I wrote in another thread that I'm moving to Japan later in the year. I'm trying to cut down on the amount of gear that I'm taking with me. I know for sure right now that the Predator is going. And I love, love, love my new HR Ultra Micro DAC. It's coming too. I've had a GS-1 on order since early September, but it will be tough for me to take it with me.

And I'd be lying if I said I hadn't planned the color matching.

Anyone know how this predator compares in size and sound to the Xin reference? OP, that looks absolutely gorgeous.
