Stan23,

Impressive stuff. You can probably buy a blockhead w/ those lens. Those seem to be very highend lens, how much are they? What's your camera? Is it Digital SLR?

VERY NICE.

I'm still mostly a film junkie.

I have 3 kits (whole bunch of lenses and flashes for each):
1) Nikon F100/FM2
2) Leica M6TTL
3) Pentax 67II

It's actually sinful how much I've spent on all of my hobbies (bikes, watches, audio, photography, hockey).

thanks purk.. Although i hate to see how much I spent..

from left to right

300 f4L IS = $1200
70-200 f4L = $600
24-70 f2.8L = $1300
17-40 f4L = $800

Funny I just borrowed those very lenses from my brother! Along with an A2 body.
I'm going to the USGP at Indy next weekend. He is in Mexico this month so I' taking his camera.
I took his gear to the 2001 race, except the 300mm lens, and got some decent pictures.
Go Juan Montoya!

Funny enough I have the same hobby except I am still using my Elan7E, can't afford a 10D yet, well I can but I also need a laptop....................and the laptop wins.

i wouldn't mind the L glass you have, but I would have got the F/2.8 in stead of the F/4 for the 70 - 200mm. Still, my 50/1.8 and 28-105 will have to do until I finish college.

My pics can be seen throught link in my Sig.

Hi Raymond,

I actually choose the 70-200f4 for its 'ultra portability'

Yes, the 70-200 2.8 IS is on my list, but at the moment, I don't need it quite yet..

lol

The notebook of choice when I got my 10D was the Dell Latitude D800. With the 1920x1200 resolution, I can fit 70% of the 10D images on the screen. Makes it easy for me to do some quick editing on the road and image dump.

I just got some 12x18 prints made using my local Noritsu print system. Looks mighty fine!

Stan,

nice website.

have you gotten into Digital cropping, yet? a few pics need better perspective and composition (we have old photo threads where we critiqued some photos. Perhaps you could post a few of your best pics, for us to critique?), along with less background clutter. I saw a lot of very promising pics. good job. great website.

I'm just gettting started. I also have a 10D, with 24mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4, and I'll probably be picking up a 85mm f/1.8. I think I'll stick with primes and just move myself forward or back

Do you listen to music while shooting? That would be an integration of both hobbies

Nice collection, very nice.

thanks wallijonn,

I tend to post a lot of photos on my website.. good and bad. Im not a believer in some pro photographer's site where they have like 10 pictures in their whole portfolio. I post everything .. good and bad.

Nice kit stan. I have the 70-200 F4. It's a nice lense, portable and light is what I like about it. The 2.8 one would be nice but it is more expensive and much heavier. My favorite lens for everyday use is the 28-135 F3.5 - 5.6 IS. Mostly I shoot film but I'm starting to get into digital.

How's the shutter lag on the D10? The only digital camera I own is the Canon S-50 and I still haven't gotten use to the shutter lag even after a 4 months of use.
